We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic tutors to support students across Didcot who require alternative or supplementary education provision. This is a highly rewarding role suited to tutors who can think creatively, adapt quickly, and build trust with pupils who may not thrive in mainstream settings.
Subjects Required
Maths, English. Tutors able to teach both are particularly encouraged to apply.
Tuition Delivery
Sessions can take place at home, in schools, in agreed public spaces, and via online learning platforms.
Essential Requirements
- Can commit to at least 10-15 hours weekly
- Have experience with SEN, SEMH, EBSA, or pupils with complex educational needs
- Are able to monitor student progress carefully through reports and assessments
- Can engage learners when traditional academic methods are not effective
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
