Introduction
Following a period of sustained growth, the University of York School for Business and Society (SBS) is seeking to strengthen its academic research and teaching in accounting and finance.
As part of this process, we are looking to appoint four new colleagues to join the Accounting, Finance and Actuarial Science group: two lecturers in Accounting and two lecturers in Finance.
We welcome applications from excellent candidates who embrace our vision and passion for advancing sustainable business, community and society and who undertake research in any area of accounting and finance using any theoretical and methodological approaches. You will be joining a thriving community of academics who are leaders in their fields, and who are committed to excellence in research, teaching and outreach. We have established a strong track record of publishing in internationally excellent journals, receiving major indicators of academic esteem, and leading large UKRI funded projects that are delivering significant real-world impact.
Faculty teach across our successful programmes at post and undergraduate level, including our online MBA and shared suite of Finance programmes, with significant opportunities to expand and develop this portfolio. A proportion of this teaching is delivered from our new, state of the art Church Lane building. While we invite applications from candidates with teaching expertise in any area of accounting and finance, we particularly welcome applications from accounting specialists with expertise in management accounting and company law and finance specialists with expertise in corporate financial management and contemporary issues in finance.
