Vision for Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Lichfield from September 2026.
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop critical thinking skills, respect for diversity, and an understanding of different religious and non-religious perspectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher seeking a long term role within a supportive school environment where high standards of teaching and learning are valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspire students to engage with a range of religious, ethical, and philosophical topics
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student progress
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student achievement, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies
- Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community
- Promote respect, tolerance, and understanding of different beliefs and cultures
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
- Experience teaching Religious Education within UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students
- Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 RE curriculum
- Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
- A genuine passion for Religious Education and promoting inclusive values
