Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry / Adult Dental Care (0.2 FTE)
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry / Adult Dental Care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high quality undergraduate teaching across the BDS and BSc programmes within a leading dental school. You will work within a dynamic and inclusive academic environment focused on excellence in teaching, innovation and student experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching and clinical supervision in Restorative Dentistry and Adult Dental Care for undergraduate students
- Support student assessment, feedback, and progression, including examinations and performance review
- Contribute to curriculum development, enhancement, and quality assurance activities
- Record and supervise clinical activities within electronic patient records
- Participate in administrative duties, student engagement, and collaborative academic activities

Essential Criteria
- BDS (or equivalent) and current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Proven clinical experience in restorative dentistry
- Experience of teaching or supporting student learning in a clinical or academic setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of collaborative working
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and an academic career in dental education
Desirable Criteria
- Teaching qualification (e.g., FHEA, SFHEA)
- Experience supervising undergraduate or postgraduate students
- Higher degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Experience contributing to curriculum development or teaching innovation
- Evidence of leadership or involvement in academic or professional initiatives
