Job Title: Impact Academy Skills Facilitator
Department: Impact Academy
Location: Aligned to one of FI Group’s regional centres
About First Intuition
First Intuition is the UK’s leading provider of accountancy training, supporting over 10,000 students annually across our network of training centres. We deliver ACCA, CIMA, ACA and AAT qualifications alongside our Impact Skills Programme (ISP) for apprentices. As we launch Impact Academy, we’re expanding our expertise in human skills development for early career professionals, building on our proven track record with 1,600+ corporate clients.
About Impact Academy
Impact Academy represents First Intuition’s strategic expansion into professional skills development beyond technical accountancy training. We’re building a market-leading proposition that delivers diagnostic-driven, personalised skills development to both FI apprentices and external employer clients. Our ambition is to grow from £3M to £12M+ by 2030, with external client revenue as a key growth driver.
We deliver a structured curriculum across six professional skills domains, using a blended model that combines facilitated sessions, coached workplace application, and self-directed learning. Our programmes serve learners from Level 3 through to Level 7, with each pathway personalised through behavioural diagnostics that identify individual development priorities and track measurable progress over time.
Role Purpose
The Impact Academy Skills Facilitator is a specialist delivery role at the heart of our professional skills proposition. You will facilitate high-impact learning experiences that develop real-world professional capability, using diagnostic data to personalise every session and demonstrating measurable progress to learners and their employers.
You will deliver across the full range of Impact Academy programmes – from Level 3 apprentices through to Level 7 senior professionals – adapting your facilitation approach to match the complexity, commercial context, and development needs at each level. Your audience will include FI apprentices, external employer clients, and commercial programme participants, requiring the confidence and credibility to deliver in corporate environments as well as training centres.
This is not a traditional teaching role. You are a facilitator of learning – guiding discussion, running immersive simulations and experiential activities, interpreting diagnostic outputs in real time, and connecting professional skills to each learner’s workplace reality. You will be expected to demonstrate commercial awareness, contribute to client retention through delivery excellence, and play an active role in developing Impact Academy’s content and methodology.
As a key member of the delivery team, you will help establish the facilitation standards that differentiate Impact Academy in the market. As the team and client base grow, there will be opportunities to specialise in programme areas, mentor new facilitators, lead on curriculum development, and take on client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation & Delivery
•Deliver professional skills sessions per year across in-person and virtual classrooms, including client-site settings. Ensuring all sessions are suitably prepared for with post session follow up activities.
•Facilitate across the full Impact Academy curriculum – including all professional skills domains, multiple apprenticeship levels (L3–L7), and commercial programmes for external clients.
•Use diagnostic assessment data to understand learner starting points, differentiate within mixed-ability groups, and tailor facilitation to individual and cohort needs.
•Deliver immersive, participatory learning experiences including simulations, case studies, role-plays, and experiential exercises that connect professional skills to real workplace challenges.
•Adapt delivery approach and pitch for different audiences: early career apprentices, experienced professionals, and senior leaders.
•Deliver with confidence and credibility in corporate client environments, representing Impact Academy’s brand and commercial proposition.
•Provide personalised learner feedback within 7 working days of each session, integrating diagnostic data and sharing insights with Skills and Development Coaches.
•Participate in formal observations (minimum 2 per year, Good or above required) and peer observations, using structured feedback to continuously improve practice.
•Pilot and evaluate new delivery approaches, digital tools, and technology-enhanced learning methods for potential adoption across programmes.
•Complete all other duties as required.
Collaboration, Commercial Contribution & Development
•Actively participate in Impact Academy’s Community of Practice, sharing insights, resources, and evidence-based best practice across regions.
•Collaborate with Skills and Development Coaches to ensure a seamless learner experience – facilitated sessions, coaching touchpoints, and workplace application must connect coherently.
•Support the commercial team by contributing to client demonstrations, taster sessions, and proposal content where your delivery expertise adds value.
•Build subject matter expertise across Impact Academy’s skills domains, with the expectation of developing deep specialism in at least two.
•Undertake regular CPD focused on facilitation practice, diagnostic interpretation, sector knowledge, and emerging approaches to professional skills development.
•Contribute to internal upskilling across FI where Impact Academy methods are being embedded into wider apprenticeship delivery.
