Location: Greater London Job Title: Co-Trainer (Learning Disability Experience) – Oliver McGowan Training Location: Various locations in the local area (travel required) Pay: £20 per hour per session (3-hour sessions) + reasonable travel expenses Contract Type: Self-employed / sessional About the Role We are looking for someone with a learning disability to work as a co-trainer helping deliver the Oliver McGowan Training to professionals. This training helps staff understand how to support people with learning disabilities and autistic people. You will work alongside an experienced trainer and share your experiences to help people learn. Your voice and perspective are an important part of the training. What You Will Do Help deliver training sessions to groups of up to 30 people Talk about your experiences and perspectives as a person with a learning disability Support group discussions and activities during the training Work alongside the lead trainer to help make the training engaging and meaningful Travel to training venues when needed Pay and Hours £20 per hour per session Each session lasts 3 hours (mornings) Paid on a self-employed basis Reasonable travel expenses will be paid Training and Support Full training will be provided You will receive support and preparation before delivering sessions You will always deliver the training with another trainer What We Are Looking For A person with a learning disability who wants to help others learn Someone who feels comfortable speaking to groups of up to 30 people (support will be given) Good communication skills Reliable and willing to travel to training venues Interested in improving understanding and support for people with learning disabilities Independent travel will be a major advantage Why This Role Is Important By sharing your experiences, you will help professionals learn how to provide better care and support.
