SIA Trainer / Assessor / IQAJob Overview
We are seeking a professional, motivated, and experienced SIA Trainer, Assessor and IQA to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, assessing learner competence, and carrying out Internal Quality Assurance activities in line with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
The role involves delivering engaging and compliant training sessions for SIA licence-linked qualifications while supporting learners throughout their development journey. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards within vocational education and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver SIA licence-linked qualifications including Door Supervisor, Security Officer, and CCTV courses.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and practical activities in line with qualification requirements.
- Assess learner portfolios, practical activities, and knowledge assessments.
- Conduct Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities to ensure consistency and compliance of assessment decisions.
- Provide constructive feedback and learner support throughout the course.
- Ensure all training and assessment documentation is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain compliance with awarding organisation, SIA, and centre policies and procedures.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Support standardisation meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain up-to-date CPD relevant to the security and education sector.
- Promote a professional, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Officer Licence.
- Level 3 Conflict Management qualification.
- Level 3 Physical Intervention qualification.
- Occupational competency within the private security industry.
- Good understanding of SIA licence-linked qualifications and assessment processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging face-to-face training sessions.
- IT skills including Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent assessor qualification.
- Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience working with awarding organisations and quality assurance processes.
