Working in the School of Architecture and Environment, and specifically the Digital Construction subject area, this post will focus on teaching and supporting learners on the Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Design, Construction and Operations programme as well as the wider built‑environment programmes.
The MSc in Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Design, Construction and Operations programme covers a lot of ground and prepares students in all aspects of BIM. The programme is split evenly between theory and practice, using the latest modelling, management, analysis and visualisation tools. Students learn to understand the complete building lifecycle, explore innovative sustainable and collaborative practices in BIM, and examine a range of existing and emerging BIM issues.
Responsibilities
Teach BIM related content to both small specialist groups and large interdisciplinary cohorts, fostering collaboration, digital literacy, and industry‑aligned skills across the built environment disciplines.
Design and deliver workshops, bootcamps and practical sessions that introduce learners to emerging digital construction technologies.
Work closely with students and colleagues in digital construction, contributing to the development and delivery of the BIM curriculum.
Qualifications
* Well‑rounded industry experience and/or teaching/training experience in BIM.
* Advanced expertise in BIM and hands‑on proficiency with key industry tools, including Autodesk Revit, Dynamo and Rhino.
* Strong pedagogical expertise, with a proven ability to design and deliver effective teaching sessions.
Working location
Based at the modern Frenchay Campus.
Contract details
Full‑time fixed‑term role, ending 31 August 2027.
