Summary
The Governors of Our Lady & St. Gerard's Catholic Primary School would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (2A) who shares this vision and is committed to upholding our high standards.
The contract will be a variable hours contract, minimum 10 hours to a maximum of 37, starting at 30hrs per week.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- Maths GCSE or equivalent
- English GCSE or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification - appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Paediatric first aid
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of primary age
- Knowledge/skills/abilities in inclusive practice
- Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 2 standard
- Ability to relate well to children
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of EYFS
- Ability to plan for progression
Desirable Experience
- Working with pre verbal pupils and using effective communication methods
- Following individual support plans/curriculum to ensure pupil progress
- Meeting medical/care needs
