The School of Commercial, Creative and Professional Studies at Merton College has an excellent opportunity for an inspiring and ambitious individual to take on the role of ESOL Lecturer (daytime and evening classes).
You’ll deliver high-quality ESOL provision across all levels to 19+ and ESOL 16-18 learners using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies that meet the individual needs of all learners. You’ll deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to ensure learners are gaining a positive learning experience, are respected, able to participate and ultimately, achieve their qualifications.
As our Lecturer, you’ll hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a suitable subject, alongside a recognised teaching qualification and excellent ESOL teaching skills across all levels. With current knowledge of curriculum changes and the implications for teaching and learning strategies, you’ll have demonstrable commitment to relevant continuous professional development including mandatory training.
You’ll have experience of meeting Awarding Organisation standards and a thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance cycle and your role in it. You’ll also demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and practical digital skills, including experience delivering remote learning.
This post requires at least one evening per week availability.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
