As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
The apprentice will be working at the nursery 4 days a week and will attend Nescot College every other Friday. The candidate would achieve their Level 3 qualification over a 14 month period as an apprentice.
What you’ll do at work
- Be a reliable member of the team, working co-operatively and with flexibility
- Develop positive relationships with parents/ guardians and other staff
- To supervise the children and ensure their safety at all times
- To ensure quality interaction with the children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes
- Assist with planning a program of activities, suitable for the age range of the children in your care
- Assist with the creation of a stimulating and attractive nursery environment
