Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract Type: Full Time - Permanent

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a large and inclusive secondary school in Hull to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to join a supportive and forward thinking English department within a well regarded school environment. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The successful candidate will initially work through Vision for Education on a supply basis before transitioning onto a permanent contract directly with the school.
The Role
The school is seeking a motivated English Teacher who can:
- Deliver engaging and high quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Inspire students through creative and effective teaching
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teacher of English, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
- Be confident teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Be committed to supporting the progress and wellbeing of young people
