Outwood Primary Academy Alne is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their academy. The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English, under the direction of teaching staff. The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave. The working pattern for this role is 18.5 hours per week, 08:50 AM to 12:30 PM Monday to Friday, term time only plus 2 days.

Outwood Primary Academy Alne is based in the village of Alne, North Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
The Teaching Assistant will:
• Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons for Maths and English.
• Assist individual students and small groups in learning activities, including those with special educational needs.
• Promote the welfare and learning of all students.
• Provide practical support such as preparing teaching materials, setting up equipment, and managing classroom behaviour under the direction of the class teacher.
• Record pupils' development and progress as directed by teachers.
