EOI - Delivery of Teacher Training
England Hockey is currently delivering an initial two-phase project of introducing Hockey to Primary Schools to grow the game. In Phase 1, we delivered training to introduce teaching Hockey in Primary Schools. After a successful Phase 1, Phase 2 is set to run for the 2026/27 academic year with a further 28 School Games Organiser Areas. We are looking for a team of tutors to visit these areas and introduce our Junior Hockey Framework to teachers who will deliver the current Primary School hockey offer to teachers who deliver Hockey in their curriculum and after school clubs.
Who are we looking for?
- An engaging facilitator who can deliver engaging, relevant, and context specific learning experiences through workshops and online delivery.
- Able to provide individualised support and constructive challenge to teachers to drive development.
- Translates teacher behaviours and philosophy into clear, meaningful, shared language for participants to take away to their own schools.
- Adapts approach to meet diverse needs across children, participation, talent, and performance settings.
- Demonstrates empathy and understanding of societal and 'on pitch' challenges faced by participants.
- Knowledgeable in school sport and primary PE, including SEND provision in physical activity contexts.
- Holds required qualifications (enhanced DBS, safeguarding, UK driving licence, coaching certification) and embodies integrity, ambition, focus, and inspiration.
