Role Overview
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a private day nursery with their search for a Nursery Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a warm and positive private day nursery in Exeter that focuses on child engagement with a therapeutic approach. Both indoor and outdoor areas are split into age appropriate sections and provide sensory enhancing activities. The nursery ensures children are able to challenge themselves and take risks in a safe and secure environment.
The nursery is looking to take on a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner, on a permanent basis. You will report directly to the Nursery Manager and could be required to work across all rooms, supporting children from ages 6 weeks up to 4 years. In a time of growth for this Nursery, career progression opportunities are also available for the right Nursery Practitioner. Weekend work would be required.
Responsibilities
• Support children's development in all age groups from 6 weeks to 4 years. • Work across all rooms and ensure safe and engaging learning environments. • Implement the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum. • Foster a warm, encouraging atmosphere that encourages children to take risks under supervision. • Report to the Nursery Manager and collaborate with the team to deliver high quality care.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner.
- Prior Level 2 qualification.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum.
- A 'can do' approach with the willingness to get stuck in.
