The Governors are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant from Summer term 2026 fixed term until Summer term 2027 due to School/pupil demand (term-time only plus INSET days). This post will include:
Grade 2 Scale Point 4 £25, 185 FTE - £18,411.54 actual salary
Responsibilities
- Working 27.5 hours per week to support learning in Early years/KS1, including one-to-one support and small group work;
- Provide structured support with specific work programmes, designed and supervised by teachers;
- Assist the teacher with the planning of learning activities and maintain behaviour in the classroom;
- Provide support to pupils to achieve learning goals and accurately record progress;
- Support pupil's health & welfare needs, attend school visits and other school activities;
- Flexibility to fit working hours to suit the needs of the school;
- Has good organisational skills and able to complete basic admin tasks;
- Is fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.
Personal Qualities
- Friendly, caring and loves working with children
- Has achieved Teaching Assistant Level 1 or equivalent
- Has recent, relevant experience
