Smile Education are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a knowledgeable and committed Health & Social Care Teacher for an immediate start.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students pursuing pathways in health, social care and child development, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for further education and future careers.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons across KS4 and KS5 (where applicable)
- Support elements of Child Development, including theory and coursework
- Prepare students for coursework and examinations, ensuring strong outcomes
- Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) or have relevant teaching experience
- Have experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level
- Have knowledge or experience of Child Development (desirable)
- Be confident supporting coursework and exam preparation
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be organised, proactive and committed to student progress
