1:1 SEN Tutor - ASD & PDA Support

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including students with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profiles, across Croydon and Sutton.
This role involves delivering tailored, engaging sessions that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing in either the home or community setting. Tutors must be patient, adaptable, and confident building trusting relationships with students who may have experienced barriers to education.
The ideal tutor will:
- Have experience working with children or young people with ASD and/or PDA
- Be able to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual needs
- Understand anxiety-based behaviours and demand avoidance
- Be calm, empathetic, and creative in their approach
- Have strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Be able to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
Requirements:
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Previous SEN tutoring or teaching experience
- Right to work in the UK
