This is a new exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher to join a highly successful SEN school for primary aged pupils with autism, severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties and related learning difficulties. The successful SEN Teacher applicant will join a school which is widely recognised as a great place to work by staff and is very highly regarded by parents, OfSTED and the wider community. The school is in the London borough of Hounslow and due to the complexity of needs that they cater to they are seeking an experienced, skilled and passionate SEN teacher, with a passion for creative teaching to join the school in September for a 12 month maternity cover.
The SEN Teacher Role
This fantastic Hounslow SEN school is seeking an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic specialist SEN Teacher for a maternity cover from September. The successful SEN Teacher applicant can choose whether they'd like to work in either KS1 or KS2 for the year as the classes haven't yet been allocated and the permanent staff have indicated a level of flexibility that allows this. However SEN teacher skills are essential and a recent track record teaching in a UK SEN school and knowledge of ASD and SLD is required. The successful SEN Teacher applicant will be teaching an informal multi-sensory curriculum to pupils working at low P Levels.
All applicants for this SEN Teacher job will need recent UK experience teaching SEN and hold QTS/QTLS or the equivalent.
The Ideal SEN Teacher Applicant
- Hold a valid teaching qualification
- Some experience dealing with autism and SLD
- Have experience of teaching SEN students at KS1/2 level.
- Be able to commit for the full academic year
