Classroom Teacher required for September 2026 - Reception/Year 1
Permanent, part time position working 13 hours per week on Thursday & Friday.
Salary: MS1 to UPS3 £32,916 to £51,048 per annum (actual salary £13,166.40 - £20,419.20 per annum)
John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and enthusiastic Reception/Year 1 Class Teacher to join our evolving organisation from 1st September 2026.
The successful candidate will ideally:

- Have a strong work ethic and have a flexible approach to continuing professional development.
- Be an exemplary teacher who will lead and support by example and display the highest expectations of their own teaching and the teaching of others.
- Place parental involvement and the local community at the heart of providing a strong, collaborative form of education.
- Ensure they are up to date with recent initiatives, ideas and developments in effective adaptive teaching strategies.
- Have a good understanding of where children have come from and where they will move to, understanding what makes effective transition through different Key stages.
- Possess a strong, nurturing behaviour management approach coupled with excellent and highly effective SEND knowledge and child development knowledge.
- Have an understanding of the importance of spirituality in a small Church of England school and how this runs as a golden thread through our curriculum.
- Be supportive and motivational towards all colleagues, being a positive role model in a small primary school.
- Contribute to the life and mission of the school through involvement in the work of the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association and with the delivery of extra curricular clubs for the children.
- Ensure our pupils are safe, through establishing a trusting, open culture, placing a great emphasis on the safeguarding of all.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work with all colleagues and have a strong understanding of how to create a vibrant and stimulating setting in which children and staff can thrive and flourish.
