The Education Specialists are partnering with a range of primary schools across Knowsley to recruit skilled and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for flexible supply roles, including day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting classroom delivery, leading lessons, and delivering targeted support to pupils. You will need to be confident stepping into the classroom and ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher's absence. You will be expected to adapt quickly to different school settings while maintaining high standards of teaching support.
This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy variety and are confident in leading learning.
Key Responsibilities of a HLTA:
- Deliver lessons using pre-prepared materials.
- Support learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Lead intervention sessions to support progress.
- Work closely with teachers and senior staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Support pupils with additional needs where required.
- Provide feedback on pupil development.
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures.
Who Can Apply to be a HLTA:
- HLTA status or significant classroom experience.
- Experience working across primary key stages.
- Confident in leading classes independently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
