Position
Teacher of Religion and Worldviews - 1.0 full time equivalent (TMS/UPS), based at Redruth School, West Cornwall.
Overview
We are looking for an aspirational, dynamic practitioner to help develop our Humanities Department. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for learning, and will empower students across Key Stage 3 and 4 to exceed expectations. The Religion and Worldviews department is committed, hardworking and supportive; we challenge stereotypes, inspire critical thinking and explore beliefs beyond the mainstream.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess religion and worldviews lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Support students to achieve and exceed expectations.
- Contribute to the development of the Humanities Curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and communicate regularly with parents and governors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent subject knowledge and passion for religion and worldviews.
- Relevant teaching qualification and experience (including ECT applicants).
- Energy, enthusiasm and motivation to make a difference.
- Ability to implement high quality learning and assessment strategies.
