SEMH Teaching Assistant
Are you a compassionate, resilient, and positive role model with a genuine passion for supporting children to overcome barriers to learning? The Education Specialists are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school community, working closely with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role begins after May half term until the end of the academic year with an opportunity to return in September for a long term position. The hours are Monday to Friday 8am 3pm.

Responsibilities
- Provide one to one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
- Support pupils in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions
- Work alongside teachers to remove barriers to learning and increase engagement
- Encourage resilience and independence
Requirements
- Calm, patient, and empathetic
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is beneficial but not essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative
- A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential
