Overview
We are seeking a Part time Lecturer (0.5 FTE) on a fixed term basis of 33 months to cover a member of the team on leave.
Eligibility
Only redeployees at City St George's are considered. All other applicants are not considered.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures in the specialist area and support assessment and marking.
- Be a member of the Professional Studies team running clinical tutorials, liaising with practice educators and visiting students on placement.
- Lead a module on one of our programmes and contribute to student support through personal tutoring.
- Carry out other occasional duties such as interviewing, curriculum development, etc.
Qualifications
- Clinical experience as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults, including voice disorders, motor speech disorders, aphasia, dysphagia.
- Postgraduate qualification in a related subject.
- Experience in teaching and supporting students in higher education.
- Commitment to inclusive education.
- Strong organisational and time management skills and excellent communication.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively, with personal initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
