EYFS Teaching Assistant
Beacon Academy, Bodmin
Contract type: Fixed term contract
Available hours: Variable hours contract with initial hours of 29.5 hpw, term time only
Salary: Grade C £24,520 per annum pro rata (£12.71 per hour)
Start date: As soon as possible
Closing date: 10th May 2026
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Early Years team at Beacon Academy.
- Provide sound support to early years pupils, adapting to their developmental needs.
- Support the classroom team in lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Assist with the planning and execution of educational activities across age groups 3 11.
- Maintain a caring and nurturing environment that promotes child safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
- Experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Experience of working with SEND is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all children.
- Ability to build rapport with children and support their learning.
- Behaviour management skills and ability to lead small groups.
