Behaviour Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a resilient and empathetic Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support children aged 3-19 years in a SEN Specialist School in North liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong de-escalation skills who is passionate about helping young learners thrive in a supportive, structured environment.
About the Role
Supporting primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
Assisting with activity-based lessons and interventions designed to re-engage learners.
Working closely with teachers and the wider PRU team to provide consistent support.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can succeed.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a PRU or specialist setting.
Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
Patience, empathy, and resilience - with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with staff and families.
