About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about making learning accessible and engaging for students who may struggle within mainstream education settings. You'll deliver focused support that helps learners rebuild confidence, develop skills, and make meaningful academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging one-to-one tuition sessions
- Support learners with SEN needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and anxiety related barriers
- Adapt resources and teaching methods to suit individual abilities
- Encourage positive learning habits and emotional resilience
- Deliver sessions in homes, community venues, or alternative settings
- Maintain accurate session records and monitor student progress
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- Tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or support work experience preferred
- A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to travel across Dorchester and nearby locations
