SEN Outreach Tutor - Immediate StartNew Chapter Tuition is looking for experienced SEN Outreach Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people aged 5-25 across Camden.
You will support learners who are out of school, at risk of exclusion, or with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and EBSA.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will help students re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Sessions are delivered in homes, libraries, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual needs
- Support learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
- Plan and adapt learning in line with EHCPs
- Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
- Build consistent, positive relationships with students
- Track progress and complete session reports
- Liaise with parents, schools, and local authorities
Requirements- Experience working with SEN / SEND learners (essential)
- Experience in outreach / alternative provision / EBSA (desirable)
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- Background as a Teacher, Tutor, TA, HLTA, or Mentor preferred
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in community settings
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to work in the UK
