Role and responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of formats, including classroom, tutorials, outreach and placements. Plan, prepare, assess and provide effective feedback to support student progress and achievement. Act as a Personal Tutor, providing pastoral and academic support where required. Deliver a student-centred learning experience aligned to the College curriculum framework. Support student induction, set clear expectations and monitor progress through regular reviews. Contribute to work placement coordination and maintain appropriate student records, including progress and discipline. Work collaboratively within the team and contribute to continuous improvement, curriculum development and quality processes. Support resource planning, budget awareness and maintain an engaging learning environment. Course Leadership (where applicable) Lead on course design, delivery, assessment planning and quality assurance. Maintain course documentation, including handbooks and schemes of work. Monitor student progress, assessment standards and compliance with awarding body requirements. Coordinate course reviews, team meetings and action planning. Ensure accurate enrolment, record-keeping and communication with students, parents/carers and employers. Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff involved in the course. Curriculum & Quality Support curriculum planning, review and evaluation in line with College policies. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement data. Contribute to self-assessment, inspections and quality improvement activities. Engagement & College Contribution Participate in employer links, school liaison and student recruitment events (e.g. open evenings). Contribute to admissions processes and cross-college initiatives. Attend relevant meetings and support wider Faculty and College activities. Professional Development Maintain up-to-date professional and industry knowledge through CPD. Engage in appraisals, teaching observations and College committees as required.

Ensure that the college develops and maintains a constructive relationship with appropriate external stakeholders relevant to the postholder's areas of responsibility.
