Bricklaying Lecturer

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit Bricklaying Lecturers to support across their construction provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a well-established college, with the potential to secure longer-term roles.

The Role
You’ll support learners across construction programmes, helping them develop practical skills and knowledge for careers in the industry.
Deliver engaging lessons across Bricklaying / Construction courses (Level 1–Level 3)
Demonstrate practical skills in workshop environments
Support learners with coursework and assessments
Promote safe working practices and health & safety
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds:
Essential:
Experience in Bricklaying / Construction (industry or teaching)
Strong practical skills and knowledge
Ability to support hands-on learning
Strong communication skills
A flexible and reliable approach
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
Experience within Further Education
Experience delivering City & Guilds / NVQ construction qualifications
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
