Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Apprenticeship Programme Delivery Manager (Band 7) to provide maternity cover within our Corporate Learning and Organisational Development Directorate.
As a recognised Apprenticeship Main Provider, the Trust is committed to delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes that support workforce sustainability, widening participation and career progression. This pivotal role will lead the delivery, quality and compliance of apprenticeship programmes across the Trust, with a particular focus on the Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship delivered internally.
Working closely with clinical teams, education providers and key internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure programmes are delivered to a consistently high standard, meeting OFSTED, DfE and Apprenticeship Funding Rules requirements, while providing an excellent learner experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence apprenticeship strategy, shape delivery models, and support the development of future NHS talent across multiple staff groups.
Main duties of the job
The Post Holder's Main duties include:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Trust apprenticeship programmes, ensuring high-quality recruitment, onboarding, learning delivery, assessment and progression for apprentices.
- Provide operational and quality leadership for theLevel 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship, working alongside Apprenticeship Programme Facilitators and clinical education teams.
- Ensure full compliance withOfsted standards, the Education Inspection Framework, Apprenticeship Funding Rules, ESFA/DfE requirements and internal governance processes.
- Monitor programme performance, includingQuality Achievement Rates (QAR), learner progress, retention, and timely completion, implementing improvement actions where required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships withclinical leaders, ward managers, People & OD, HEIs, independent providers and external partners to support apprenticeship delivery and expansion.
- Provide expert advice and support to apprentices, supervisors, assessors and managers, promoting high-quality supervision, assessment and learner experience.
- Lead apprenticeship governance activity, including weekly programme governance meetings, risk management and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate apprenticeship records and reporting using systems such asAptem, DAS and ILR, supporting audit and statutory returns.
