Location: Greater London University of the Arts London is seeking an experienced Lecturer to play a key role in leading a year group and developing the BA Performance: Design and Practice course at Central Saint Martins (CSM).This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and develop an interdisciplinary course that challenges established models of authorship and encourages experimental, collaborative performance practice. This course develops students' technical and practical skills in design scenography, costume, dramaturgy, movement, and film making, while supporting critical and innovative approaches to performance-making.Based within the Performance Programme in the C School at CSM, you will be responsible for teaching, advancing curriculum development and ongoing scholarship on the course, and of a designated year group. You will contribute to the development of student projects, pedagogy and curriculum direction, helping to shape innovative and critical approaches that actively promote diversity and inclusion; preparing students for life beyond the college. You will ensure the curriculum remains informed by current research, practice and developments in performance making, and that they are embedded in teaching and learning. As Senior Lecturer you will be responsible for year stage leadership.In addition to this, you will provide pastoral support to undergraduate students, monitoring their progress and attendance, maintaining appropriate records and liaising with colleagues as required. This may also involve contributing to tutorial or stage groups depending on the programme's needs and allocation of responsibility across the teaching team.About youWe are looking for an inspiring creative practitioner with experience of leading student projects, teaching, curriculum development and assessment within higher education or equivalent professional practice.
