END POINT ASSESSOR (EPA) - HEAT NETWORK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN PART TIME / FLEXIBLE ROLE INTRO
V Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO).
As an organisation they are committed to quality, and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service.
Their service helps to ensure that apprentices, working within a range of industries, are able to do the job they are trained for.
They currently requirte End Point Assessors (EPAs) for the Level 3 Heat Network Maintenance Technician standard, to join their bank of Independent End Point Assessors.
As an EPA you will carry out apprentice assessments, including practical observations and technical interviews. You’ll play a vital role in validating skills and knowledge.
To work as an EPA for the Level 3 Heat Network Maintenance Technician Standard you will need an Engineering background in district heat networks.
STANDARD - HEAT NETWORK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Heat Network Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the operation, planned maintenance and reactive repair of all equipment relevant to the district heat network. This will involve attending customer properties - both residential and commercial, as well as distribution substations and energy centres, generating heat and often electricity.
A district heat network is a system which generates and supplies low carbon heat, generated in a centralised location, through a system of insulated pipes to residential and commercial heat customers.
THE ROLEThe role is offered on an flexible basis via a zero hours contract. The hours available vary dependent on demand, and registered EPAs always have a choice to accept assignments based on their availability. This role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities.
Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the Heat Network Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for.
You will undertake (remotely or directly) end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias and based on all relevant evidence presented.
You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material submitting these records within required timescales.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Recent experience to Level 3
- It would be desirable to hold an assessor qualification
