Job Description:
Location: Guildford, Surrey (Office-Based) (35 min by train from London Waterloo)
We are looking for a Construction Management or Quantity Surveying Tutor / Lecturer to our Guildford office. This role is ideal for someone with a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Construction background who wants to transition into education.
This is not just a lecturing role, your focus will be on marking, feedback, and supporting learners, helping the next generation of Quantity Surveyors develop their skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lecturing and marking assignments with a focus on Quantity Surveying and commercial construction principles
Providing clear, structured, and developmental feedback to learners’ assignments
Supporting learners with day-to-day queries related to their studies
Monitoring learner progress, engagement, and performance
Managing learner communication via email and internal systems
Assisting the academic team with course delivery and administration
What We’re Looking For
Experience in Quantity Surveying or a commercial construction role (essential)
Background in areas such as cost planning, procurement, contracts, or commercial management
Strong written communication skills (essential for marking and feedback)
Good attention to detail and ability to assess technical work
Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, online systems)
Organised, reliable, and proactive
Interest in developing a long-term career in education or training
