Delivery Director – Tempdent
Location: Remote | Senior Leadership Role | Up to £80,000
Are you a proven leader in apprenticeship delivery ready to make a lasting impact at scale? We’re looking for a Delivery Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and take ownership of the entire learner journey from enrolment through to successful, timely achievement and progression. This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape operational excellence, drive performance, and maintain Tempdents position as the leader in dental apprenticeship provision .
Our Delivery Director is more than a leadership role, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Tempdent consistently delivers outstanding learner outcomes while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.

Key responsibilities of this role:
. Lead and inspire Operations Managers and wider delivery teams, upskilling them to drive accountability and success
. Create a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and robust performance management
. Conduct regular 1:1s, appraisals, and continuous development planning
Manage Operational Excellence & KPIs
. Own and deliver key performance metrics including:
- Monthly achievers, leavers, and clawback performance
- 80%+ Qualification Achievement Rate (QAR)
- Maintaining a green status on the DfE Apprenticeship Accountability Framework
. Monitor learner occupancy, pipeline, and forecasting to ensure delivery targets are achieved
. Align headcount and resources with budgets and growth plans
Quality, Compliance & Audit
. Champion a quality-first approach across all delivery activity
. Lead on Ofsted readiness, inspections, and external audits
. Ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules, awarding bodies, and regulatory requirements
. Contribute to quality reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Strategy & Growth
. Actively contribute to SLT strategy, planning, and governance
. Drive innovation in delivery models, leveraging technology and sector trends
. Support commercial growth by ensuring delivery excellence and scalability
. Represent Tempdent externally with key stakeholders including Ofsted and funding bodies
Data, Insight & Continuous Improvement
. Use data (e.g., PowerBI) to analyse performance, identify trends, and drive decision-making
. Continuously review and improve processes, systems, and delivery models
. Share best practice and implement innovative solutions to enhance outcomes
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
. Work closely with Knovia Group Shared Services teams to support recruitment, retention, and development of our colleagues
. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
. Act as a key link between delivery, compliance, and senior leadership

. Proven experience in leading high-performing teams in apprenticeships or education
. Strong track record of delivering against KPIs, quality measures, and compliance frameworks
. Deep understanding of Ofsted, ESFA, and apprenticeship funding rules
. Ability to drive accountability, challenge performance, and influence at all levels
. A strategic mindset with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
. Confidence using data and insight to inform decisions and improve outcomes
