- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality lessons in Early Years and related subjects
- Support learners to develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills relevant to early years practice
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress to ensure achievement of learning outcomes
- Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to learners
- Contribute to curriculum development to ensure programmes remain current, industry-relevant, and aligned with qualification requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and placement providers to enhance the learner experience
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement
The ideal candidate will have: - A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or a related field (degree or equivalent)
- Experience working within early years settings (e.g., nurseries, preschools, primary EYFS environments)
- Teaching experience in Further Education or training (or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held)
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, safeguarding, and current early years frameworks and practices
- Experience assessing coursework and supporting learners with diverse needs
