Job description
We are seeking a driven Curriculum and Performance Manager to lead high-quality delivery across our Technical and Trades provision. You will manage and develop a team of Learning Coaches, ensuring an outstanding learner journey from enrolment through to achievement and progression. The role focuses on curriculum innovation, performance management, and maintaining high standards in teaching, learning and assessment. You will monitor learner retention, drive quality improvement, and ensure compliance with funding and awarding body requirements. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll play a key role in shaping curriculum strategy and delivering excellent outcomes. This is a dynamic role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and a passion for improving learner experience. Travel across the Northwest will be required.
This role is offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 37 hours per week.
Location: Northwest – predominately Crewe and Northwich
Key Responsibilities include:
- Line management of learning coaches, ensuring caseloads / cohorts are in line with learner to staff ratio
- Conducting monthly performance management reviews based on learner experience and quality outcomes
- Ensuring effective CIAG, initial assessment and induction for all learners, to ensure learners are on the right programme and level, and where relevant have the range within the job role to achieve their chosen programme
- Closely scrutinise and monitor retention of learners, taking action in line with the retention strategy where learners are identified as at risk of leaving programme
- Develop and embed an innovative curriculum with supporting schemes of work and learning resources, ensuring these are evaluated continually and adjusted based on feedback that lead to achievement rates
- Hold quarterly standardisation meetings to ensure the intent, implementation and impact of the learner journey processes is consistent across the curriculum, and learning coaches have an opportunity to share good practice
- Co-ordinate and plan assessments, exams and EPA across the curriculum ensuring invigilation is organised and exams are conducted in line with the awarding organisations requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Hold or be willing to work towards Leadership, Management or Team Leading qualification
- Hold or be willing to work towards Maths and English at L2 or equivalent
Desirable
- PGCE or teaching qualification
- Assessor award
- Vocational experience in one curriculum area of responsibility (L3)
