PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To lead and embed a strong culture of change across The Green Room College, ensuring all students are supported to achieve meaningful and positive post-16 outcomes.
This is an outcomes-focused and strategically driven role. The Leader of Change will provide oversight of the college’s approach to preparing students for life beyond Key Stage 5, with a particular focus on sustained and meaningful employment and progression into further education. This role is not defined by direct delivery, but by the ability to align people, provision, and opportunities to ensure every student is moving towards their desired outcome.
The Green Room College is proud to exceed national expectations in supporting young people with SEND into employment. The successful candidate will build on this success by strengthening systems, partnerships, and internal practice, ensuring that pathways into employment and further education are coherent, ambitious, and accessible to all learners.
Central to this role is the ability to build authentic, trusting relationships with students, understanding their individual strengths, nurturing their sense of self-worth, and empowering them to recognise their value. Just as importantly, the Leader of Change will work across the staff team to ensure that this understanding is shared, embedded, and translated into meaningful action for each student.
Success in this role will come from connecting the dots - bringing together staff, curriculum, experiences, and external opportunities into a coherent journey for every learner. The Leader of Change will ensure that all staff are contributing to student outcomes, identifying the skills, qualifications, and competencies each student needs to develop, and supporting the creation of bespoke pathways to achieve them.
Our Leader of Change will be a relational leader who has a willingness and enthusiasm for the concept of change, actively collaborating and evolving their practice as a role model to students and staff.
