This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant interdisciplinary group within an established School of Pharmacy. The post holder will have the opportunity to engage in research related to pharmaceutical chemistry, prepare and deliver teaching and assessment in areas related to pharmaceutical and cosmetic science, and undertake appropriate academic related administrative activities that support their academic development. This role sits within the Division of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. This is a division within the Reading School of Pharmacy. Pharmacy is a department in the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy. I
You will have:
• A first degree and PhD in a chemistry, pharmacy or equivalent discipline
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong numeracy, computer literacy and literacy skills
• Research expertise in an area aligned to pharmaceutical science
• Strong knowledge underpinning pharmaceutical chemistry
• Experience of teaching within higher education and oral communication (lectures/public speaking) to small/large groups
• A commitment to self-development and the ability to be adaptable in working practices including flexibility to teach outside own area of expertise
• An innovative approach to teaching, research and scholarship
