We’re excited to offer Admin & Business Apprenticeship opportunities within our Recruitment and Health & Safety teams. As an Admin Apprentice, you’ll gain real hands-on experience, build valuable professional skills, and earn a recognised qualification, all while being supported every step of the way.
You’ll learn on the job, working with experienced teams, and receive training from a dedicated provider to help you thrive in your chosen specialism.
The role will support the Recruitment team with the end-to-end recruitment process and delivering of an exceptional experience for both managers and candidates. Supporting volume assessment centre days for drivers, customer and engineering roles and maintaining accurate recruitment documentation and recruitment systems.
- Support the maintenance and updating of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Keep candidates moving through each stage of the recruitment process smoothly.
- Coordinate and schedule candidates for assessment days, interviews, psychometric testing and follow up stages.
- Set rooms up on the day of assessment centres with the necessary equipment required.
- Prepare assessment day materials (assessor packs, candidate packs, stationery, signing-in sheets, etc.).
- Support managing the recruitment inbox, responding to queries promptly and professionally
- Assist in posting job adverts across recruitment platforms as required.
- Collate interview templates and assessment material from managers post interviews and assessment days and upload to Sharepoint
- Support with Track and update recruitment metrics and weekly activity reports.
The role will provide admin and data support to the team, supporting with the management of safety processes, processing safety documentation, managing incident reporting and system workflows.
- Maintain and update Health & Safety documentation, tramway-specific procedures, Safe Systems of Work, and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate recording and filing of operational incident reports, risk assessments and inspections.
- Coordinate controlled documents within the safety management system.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and materials for Safety Review Meetings, Rule Book Committees, and Safety Briefings.
- Assist in generating safety trend analysis, KPIs, and monthly dashboard reporting for Operations, Engineering, and Leadership
- Help develop safety campaigns, posters, and digital materials focused on passenger and Employee safety.
- Support safety engagement initiatives such as briefings, toolbox talks, Safety Days, and depot safety tours.
- Maintain accuracy of data in safety platforms such as incident management systems, competence management systems, and digital audit tools.
- Produce routine safety performance reports for Operational Control, Engineering, HR, and Leadership.

- GCSEs or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics (Grade 4/ C or above)

- An salary of £17,000 per annum
- 18 month fixed-term apprenticeship contract
- 37.5 hours per week this will include (6 hours per week off the job learning)
