We’re delighted to share a fantastic opportunity to join our People Team at the British Library!
We’re looking for an Early Careers Advisor to lead the delivery of our Early Careers programmes such as work experience and summer training programmes. The post holder will also work with the Early Careers Manager to develop inclusive career pathways and programmes that help meet key priorities and address current and future skills gaps.
About the role
• You will support the Early Careers Manager in the development, implementation and promotion of the Library’s early careers and volunteer schemes.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the early career and volunteer schemes
• Support the promotion, advocacy and smooth co-ordination of attraction and recruitment activity to the early careers and volunteer schemes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
• Act as a first point of contact for general enquiries for all schemes to impart information to/from stakeholders such as; early careers programme participants, volunteers, line managers and teams, Training Providers and other external stakeholders.
About you
• You will be passionate about creating opportunities and developing others. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of apprenticeship qualifications and other government early careers initiatives, either from being an apprentice or supporting early careers schemes.
• You will have knowledge of people management responsibilities so that you can provide pastoral care to programme recipients and advise line managers.
• You will be able to demonstrate the British Library Values and Behaviours with particular emphasis on embracing equality, fairness and diversity.
