We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a motivated Assistant Lecturer to join a structured 12-month academic development programme. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career academics to gain teaching experience while working under the supervision of experienced faculty members and contributing to high-quality education delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver classes and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are achieved
• Provide academic support and guidance to students
• Assist Module Leaders and senior academic staff in planning lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
• Develop, update, and improve course materials and learning resources
• Implement best teaching practices and educational technologies to enhance the learning experience
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborative academic activities
• Engage in professional development programmes, including teaching observations and workshops
• Contribute to objectives related to student outcomes, satisfaction, retention, and attendance
• Perform administrative duties and support academic operations as required
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant academic field or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working within the health industry as a health practitioner
• Experience supervising student work and providing academic feedback
• Demonstrated experience teaching or training within the relevant subject area
• Strong knowledge of health-related academic subjects
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to maintain accurate academic records and reports
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines effectively
Desirable Qualifications:
• Previous lecturing experience in UK Higher Education
• Experience delivering training sessions to large groups on health-related topics
