The role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to provide technical services for the Biology department in order to support teaching staff and pupils. The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent practical skills and subject knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm approach and response to situations where working quickly is essential, e.g., the “turn around” between lessons
- Excellent organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for the role and team player
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Commitment to personal development
- Commitment to the safeguarding of children
- Must be prepared to attend internal and external training days
Useful experience and qualifications
- Experience of working within a science laboratory, preferably in an academic setting
- A relevant science qualification, preferably Biology related
- Health and Safety qualification
- A First Aid qualification
