We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sport Lecturer to join our teaching team on a temporary, term‑by‑term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high‑quality teaching across a range of Sport programmes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to learners at varying levels within our Sport curriculum. Teaching responsibilities will follow the attached timetable pattern, which includes scheduled sessions across the week (Monday to Friday) in both morning and afternoon blocks. You will be responsible for delivering lessons that inspire learners, support progression, and maintain high standards of academic delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons across designated Sport units.
• Adapt teaching to suit diverse learner needs and promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider Sport department.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Uphold academic quality standards and comply with internal policies and awarding‑body requirements.
Candidate Expectations We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Strong subject expertise in Sport, Exercise Science, Coaching, or a closely related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience delivering Sport‑related content in Further Education or a similar setting.

If you are successful, Protocol is required to see evidence of your Right to Work in the UK; in addition to you applying for an enhanced DBS Certificate should you not already hold a suitable certificate registered on the DBS Update Service.
