Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to inspire and develop athletes of all ages and skill levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating training sessions, fostering a positive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. Duties
• Design and implement engaging training programmes tailored to individual and team needs
• Deliver coaching sessions across various sports, ensuring safety and proper technique
• Motivate athletes to achieve their personal best through constructive feedback and encouragement
• Organise team practices, games, and competitions in accordance with organisational standards
• Monitor athlete progress and maintain accurate records of development and attendance
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and a positive attitude among participants
• Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support athlete development programmes
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, safe, and suitable for use during training sessions
Requirements
• Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching roles
• Strong knowledge of sporting techniques, rules, and safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants
• Organised with the ability to plan effective training sessions
• Enthusiastic team player with a passion for sport and youth development
• Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake training is expected
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
