About The Role
Our projects are more than just an opportunity to make your mark — they’re an opportunity to stretch, develop and drive real impact. Join our team as a Project Trainer on the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) Project, and you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every person stepping onto site is safe, informed and set up for success. This is meaningful work that shapes the first impression of every worker on one of the UK’s most ambitious carbon‑reduction projects.
The Project Inductor / trainer will be responsible for delivering all site-specific inductions, some safety briefings, and essential mandatory training required for personnel working on the project. The role ensures every worker, subcontractor, and visitor understands project expectations, safety procedures, operational
standards, and key risks before being authorised to work.
What you'll be doing
As our Project Inductor / Trainer, you’ll be the face of the project for new starters, subcontractors and visitors — delivering essential inductions, safety messaging and core training. Your work will help embed a strong safety culture from day one.
• Deliver engaging, site‑specific induction sessions to all personnel arriving on the project.
• Communicate site rules, emergency arrangements, welfare facilities, site layout and project standards.
• Ensure all induction and training records are accurate, compliant and up to date.
• Deliver mandatory and role‑specific training packages.
• Support audits, inspections and training‑related reviews.
• Help develop and continuously improve training processes, systems and e‑learning materials.
• Champion a positive safety culture through proactive engagement and behavioural initiatives.
• Assist with training coordination, reporting, bookings and scheduling.
Who we're looking for
• Competent user of digital induction and training management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience delivering training, inductions or safety briefings in construction or an industrial setting.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
