Taking Teaching Further & Additional Incentives

About The Candidate
The Apprenticeship Directorate is looking for a Trainer/Assessor for Automotive. This role will work with a cohort of Level 2 and Level 3 apprentices and their employers, conducting progress reviews, training and assessing on the competency elements of the apprenticeship and being the main point of contact. Applicants for this post should have drive, enthusiasm, possess excellent interpersonal, I.T. and organisational skills and be mobile throughout the northeast region as this role involves travelling to employer premises and working across college sites.
As a Trainer/Assessor you will be the one that nurtures and supports apprentices through those first steps into the automotive industry, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required.
About The Role
To work with first- and second-year level 2 apprentices, and slightly more experienced level 3 apprentices and support them through until the achievement of their apprenticeship. You will join a provision that has achieved higher than national average achievement rates. What learning or career development opportunities exist within the role? We are always open to staff development and our new Wansbeck facility will provide opportunities around EV and Hybrid vehicles. You will work in our state-of-the-art Wansbeck academy. This will simulate real-life, hands-on experience of tasks in the Automotive industry.
Role Responsibilities
To coach apprentices on a one-to-one basis and support the development of the skills, knowledge and behaviours as defined within the relevant apprenticeship.To monitor and assess the progress of Apprentices.To ensure compliance with the end-to-end Apprenticeship journey and the requirements of the appropriate standard/framework, funding body, awarding organisations and the college.To design, develop and deliver workshop training sessions in the workplace and/or on a college campus as part of off-the-job training for Apprentices.To support the Apprenticeship Operations Manager in implementing quality assurance and quality improvement processes.
Qualifications
You must either hold, or be willing to work towards;
A1 or TAQA 301-3 Assessor AwardAppropriate degree or equivalent/relevant vocational qualification at level 3 or above
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience of successfully delivering apprenticeships in the occupational sectorSuccessful, relevant and current experience of motor vehicle repair and maintenance in the Automotive sector.
