We are seeking an experienced Trainer & IQA to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training and internal quality assurance within the childcare sector. This is a dual delivery and quality role, supporting learners from enrolment through to successful End Point Assessment, while maintaining rigorous internal quality standards.
The Role
You will manage and deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning sessions, embedding both technical knowledge and essential soft skills through 1-1 and group delivery. Alongside training responsibilities, you will act as Internal Quality Assurer, supporting assessors, monitoring standards and ensuring consistency of assessment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality apprenticeship training aligned to awarding body and funding standards
• Track learner progress and implement timely interventions to ensure achievement
• Support learners with Functional Skills English and maths (Level 1 and 2)
• Liaise with employers to coordinate on- and off-the-job training
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment
• Act as Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), sampling assessment decisions and supporting standardisation
• Respond to External Quality Assurance (EQA) requirements
• Maintain accurate learner records, action plans and compliance documentation
• Deliver short practical programmes such as Lead to Succeed and Well Led
Requirements
Essential:
• Relevant occupational qualification
• GCSE English and maths at Level 2
• Experience within the childcare sector
• Experience delivering apprenticeship training and driving timely completions
• Strong organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to build effective employer and learner relationships
Desirable:
• Experience supporting Ofsted or EQA visits
• Experience producing management information and reports
• A1/CAVA (or willingness to work towards)
• V1/IQA qualification (or willingness to work towards)
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Other Requirements
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Willingness to travel between sites
• Commitment to CPD and continuous improvement
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends if required
