About the Role: Peripatetic Music Lecturer - Brass (trombone and/or saxophone)
As a Peripatetic Music Lecturer in Brass (trombone and/or saxophone), you will play a vital role in supporting our learners in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential. You will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and support students through both academic and pastoral guidance.
This role is offered on an hourly paid basis.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Peripatetic Music Lecturer - Brass to teach A-level students. To support the performance development of GCE Music students through one-to-one tuition, improving trombone and saxophone playing technique, examination repertoire, and live performance skills. To contribute to concert performances, examine assessments, and record non-examined coursework as required. As part of our dynamic team, you will inspire and support students to achieve their goals and progress within their chosen field.

About You
We’re looking for a passionate and committed individual with:
• Proven peripatetic teaching experience in trombone and/or saxophone, both within educational institutions and private practice
• Appropriate professional training (e.g., conservatoire, specialist music course/college, degree, or equivalent qualification).
• strong knowledge of trombone and/or saxophone repertoire, technical skills, stylistic diversity, and relevant artists and composers.
• Understanding of the performance requirements and standards of post-16 music qualifications.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• A commitment to inclusive, learner-focused teaching
• A recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one)
You should be confident in delivering to a diverse range of learners and ready to inspire them to achieve their full potential.
