About the role
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking to recruit a fixed-term Lecturer for two years to undertake high-quality teaching.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have disciplinary expertise, primarily in the education of Aerospace Engineering and Aerodynamics student cohorts in Years 3 and 4 of study.
Teaching will support
- MEng undergraduate degree programmes, including Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
- Supervising students undertaking significant individual and group projects encompassing research or design activities

About the candidate
- You will have a PhD (or equivalent) and experience in aerospace activities.
- The successful candidate may be asked to take responsibility for other teaching as requested by the Head of Department.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours pw) fixed term basis for two years from July 2026 to July 2028.
As part of the selection process, you will normally be required to give a presentation to academic staff in the Department before being shortlisted for formal interview.
